Places You Really Must See While Visiting New Delhi

New Delhi is the capital city of India. In terms of size, it is the third largest in India. It is located along the West End of the Gangetic Plain. The city offers you a richly rewarding mix of diversity, culture, exotic shows, diversity and architecture. New Delhi is located in the Delhi metropolis, and is the Government’s headquarters. Delhi’s culture is hugely influenced by its history as India’s capital.

The infrastructure is quite good in New Delhi. There is a metro system that offers quick transport to various parts of the city. Underground subways are also available to boost your transport needs.

There are quite a number of architectural marvels in New Delhi, including the Jama Masqid, the largest mosque in India. Others include the Delhi Fort, Humayun’s tomb, Jantar Mantar and Purana Qila. Modern architecture is depicted in the construction of the Lotus Temple, Akshardham and Laxminarayan temple.

New Delhi is amazing due to the fact that it is green all over. If you are looking for hand-made antiques, then this is the place for you. The attractions in the city are numerous, so much that you wonder which end to start from. You might decide to begin at the India Gate. This was put up to commemorate the brave soldiers who fought and gave their lives during world war one. The place has manicured lawns that are green and lush with seasoned beauty and attract many visitors to the place daily.

Raj Ghat is located on the bank of the Yamuna River. This is where Mahatma Gandhi was laid to rest. He is popularly referred to by many Indians as the Father of the Nation. All visiting diplomats and dignitaries find this an important place to visit while in New Delhi.

Laxminarayan temple is a very nice spot to visit while in India. It was put up by the Birla Family in 1938. It has a lovely garden and fountains behind it. Also, you can visit the Red Fort. The last fort to be built in New Delhi, it has lived through a number of historical hallmarks, including the decline of British rule, the building and fall of fortunes and the Independence of India. You really must see this place while in New Delhi.

You should also make an effort to visit the Rashtrapati Bhawan, Chandni Chowk and Qutab Minar.

Visit New Delhi and see for yourself all the Indian delights and wonders that lie in wait for you!!
